Over half a lakh jobs await Indian techies! Wipro to hire 7500 engineers, Infosys to hire 15,000 and TCS 30,000 in FY2010-11
MUMBAI, INDIA: Sending a positive signal that the days of recession is slowly receding and the hiring days are here again, Wipro Technologies also today announced that it would hire 7500 engineers this year. With this this total job announcement made by Indian IT firms during the last two days crossed 52,500.
'We plan to bring in 7500 engineers for which we plan to go to campus for 2010 fresh engineers,' a Bloomberg UTV report quoted Girish Paranjpe, joint CEO of Wipro Technologies as saying. 'We also plan to hire non engineering students. We are busy making lateral hires. There's more supply than demand constrains,' he added.
Earlier, while addressing the NASSCOM Leadership Forum 2010 here, Infosys CEO Kris Gopalakrishnan had also said that the IT giant would hire about 15,000 employees for the financial year 2010-11, and the offers for the same are being made in campuses.
Earlier, while addressing the NASSCOM event, TCS had also announced that it would hire 30,000 staff in 2010/11 on hopes of increase in demand for services from its overseas clients. |
